Visas & Passports
Visa & passport are the most important documents needed to start your trip to India. Everyone needs a visa to visit India. They come in a variety of versions ranging from 15 days to 6 months and include single and multiple-entry versions. Only the 6-month tourist visas are extendable. Be careful to check whether your visa is valid from the date of entry or the date of issue before heading for India. There should be 6 months left before your passport expiry date from the date you return home. Apply for your visa at least 3 months before departure, bearing in mind that if you should require a 6 months tourist visa it is valid from the date of issue. So, ensure the validity is long enough for your proposed stay.
